Description
Round hammered iron backplate, two candle arms extending from a central yoke, three hand-cast brass rings descending as chain — terminating in a small brass finial. The iron was worked hot — the surface shows it. The brass rings cast individually, each slightly different in diameter. The chain is a resolved object: it has a beginning, a middle, and an end.
Medieval formal language reworked in 20th century metalwork. At 40cm, these are large for candleholders. They claim wall space and hold it.
H 40 × W 33 × D 23 cm.
Sold as a pair.
