Description
In the 1980s, Murano glass explored internal compositions where the material itself became decoration. This pair of Italian vases perfectly embodies this approach, straddling the line between vintage design object and decorative piece from 20th-century collectibles. Made of blown glass, they feature a thick, slightly pinkish structure, each enriched with a purple feather-shaped inclusion, frozen within the mass. This inclusion work, mastered while hot, testifies to the craftsmanship of Murano workshops. The contrast between the shapes — a large rectangular vase with softened angles and a more compact model with slightly curved lines — dialogues with the fluidity of the internal pattern. Unattributed, this pair is part of an Italian production where formal experimentation remains central.
The condition is perfect. The glass is sound, with no chips or noticeable scratches. The surfaces retain beautiful transparency and a consistent finish.
