Description
180×180 cm painting on canvas
Acrylics, oil pastel, dry pastel
Palimpsest (oil pastel) is named after a surface that has been erased and written over, yet still holds what came before, the way memory does. Layer by layer, the marks build and fade, leaving traces beneath new tones, like old thoughts returning through fresh days. The central seam reads like a quiet fault line or stitch, holding the composition together while suggesting what can’t be fully removed. It isn’t a clear scene. It’s the afterimage of an experience, where memory lives in residue rather than detail.
