Description
In the second half of the 1960s, the house of Fred expanded its formal vocabulary beyond jewelry, offering objects for the interior directly inspired by its iconic codes. This model is a clear illustration, incorporating the twisted cable motif and gilded rings, in the spirit of the Force 10 bracelet launched in 1966.
Published by Fred Paris, this valet tray — which can also serve as an ashtray — combines a silver-plated metal tray with a metal cable border, punctuated by four gilded elements. The ensemble evokes a stylized marine universe, treated with great sobriety.
The condition is good and consistent with use. The tray shows visible surface scratches on the inside. The reverse also shows more pronounced signs of use, particularly near the « Fred Paris » signature. These marks remain superficial and do not detract from the piece’s integrity.
Its dimensions — 20.5 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm in height — offer a comfortable format, easy to integrate.
A typical piece from Fred’s production of the late 60s – early 70s, to be used as a valet tray on a desk or coffee table, or as a discreet decorative object.
