Description
Gustav Beran is Austrian silversmith, trained in the Wiener Werkstätte tradition.
Round base. Cylindrical stem. Five arms curving outward — each resolving into a spherical node and disc cup. An oval finial at the crown. Sphere, curve, disc, repeated five times without variation.
The silver has darkened with age. The oxidation deepens the relief. The object reads as sculpture before it reads as candleholder.
