Description
Rare Finnish rya wall rug, signed and dated – « Nuoren neidon ryijy (The Young Maiden’s Rug), T.P. 47.”. Handwoven in soft tones of beige, pink, and brown wool, it features a traditional symmetrical pattern with floral and geometric motifs. A beautiful example of early mid-20th century Finnish textile art. There’re hanging loops on the back side.
