Description
In the 1980s, Italian design explored organic forms combined with decorative surface treatments. The “Galassia” model reflects this approach, with a material finish that interacts with light. Produced by Brandani, this cast aluminum catchall features an elongated shape with gently raised ends.
The exterior is polished, while the interior displays a textured blue-tinted pattern applied after casting. The contrast between smooth surface and rhythmic motif is typical of Italian decorative objects from this period. Good overall condition. Light surface scratches visible on the base and inside, consistent with age. The aluminum patina remains even and refined.
