Description
Produced in the 1970s, this square metal and glass valet tray exemplifies the rigor and formal clarity characteristic of Italian design of that period. Workshops in northern Italy, particularly around Brescia, favored precise geometric volumes combined with a controlled highlighting of materials. The structure features a metal frame with clean edges, combined with a tinted glass panel whose flat surface subtly captures the light. The overall effect is a restrained, almost architectural composition, where each element finds its place in a measured balance. This copy comes from a single owner, who acquired it at the time. It is preserved in very good condition, with minimal signs of use, consistent with its age and without any alteration to the legibility of the metal or glass. Perfect as a catchall on a console or as a collector’s item, it illustrates the pursuit of precision and the elegant simplicity of Italian design from the 70s.
