Description
In the 1970s, Italian designers extensively explored synthetic materials. Lucite, prized for its transparency and its ability to be sculpted, became a preferred material for decorative and office objects. A solid lucite structure, machined with a fluted design around the perimeter. In the center, a removable circular insert in polished brass holds small objects. This type of construction, using thick blocks of plexiglass, is characteristic of Italian workshops specializing in tableware of the period.
The condition is very good. The lucite shows slight surface marks visible in the light, consistent with use. The brass retains a beautiful shine with a subtle patina. The piece measures approximately 14 cm wide by 4 cm high. Compact proportions, suitable for everyday use. Place it on a desk, coffee table, or entryway console. Ideal for holding keys, jewelry, or coins, while adding a graphic and luminous touch to the overall look.
