Description
This “Corona” lounge chair by Poul Volther, produced by Erik Jørgensen in the 1980s, is presented here in a rare version in smooth white leather. Its iconic design, consisting of four elliptical cushions floating around a metal frame, perfectly illustrates the avant-garde and modernity of Danish design. The original upholstery is in very good condition, as is the steel frame with cross-shaped base, which has a beautiful patina that adds character to the piece.
The chair swivels, offering comfort and practicality for everyday use. Created in 1964, the Corona model is undoubtedly Poul Volther’s most iconic work. It embodies the elegance of modern Danish design with its sculptural lines and robustness. Considered a true timeless classic, it is now a sought-after piece by collectors and design enthusiasts.
