Description
Five-armed sculptural candlestick in bronze by Michael Hael Harjes, made in the 1960s–70s. The piece shows a Brutalist approach with rough, textured surfaces and irregular forms that give it a sculptural quality. Each arm is set at a different height, creating a rhythmic silhouette different from every angle. The bronze has developed a natural patina, with minor wear consistent with age. Both functional and expressive, the candlestick reflects the Brutalist interest in raw material and strong, architectural lines.
