Description
Striking Italian Murano sommerso vase from the 1960s, executed in deep cobalt blue encased in clear crystal glass. The elegant elongated form is finished with a sharply faceted base, creating beautiful light refractions and depth when viewed from different angles.
The rich blue core appears suspended within the clear outer layer – a classic example of the sommerso technique developed in Murano during the mid-20th century. The clean geometric lines and refined proportions make this piece a sculptural object even without flowers.
