Description
Designed in the early 1960s, the « Onda » pocket emptier illustrates the rigor and sensuality of post-war Italian design. Designed by Sergio Asti and produced by Arnolfo di Cambio , it is part of a period where the mastery of glass was put to the service of functional and sober forms. Made of mouth-blown opaque glass, the object reveals a subtle play of curves and light, typical of Asti’s work.
Its undulating form, both precise and fluid, testifies to an approach where the artisanal gesture dialogues with industrial modernity. The coin is in very satisfactory condition , with a slight patina related to time, consistent with its age and which does not affect its readability or its brilliance in any way.
