Description
Out Of Shape, a sculptural wall lamp, is part of an introspective and deeply personal body of work and first solo exhibition that explores the artist’s more than decade-long battle with an eating disorder. Utilising body and its deformed, detached parts as a crucial visual and emotional element, developing a surrealist visual approach, hands forming from eyes, as a representation of the mental and psychological turmoil and the distortion of the bodily perceptions. Body image through the lenses of distortion and exaggeration.
Hand crafted, with sand casted aluminium. Each piece is one of a kind, and will have differences.
