Description
A study in restraint, this work draws on centuries-old techniques to create a quietly atmospheric surface. Painted with traditional lime wash on raw linen, then sealed with linseed oil and natural pigments, the materiality remains fully visible—matte, mineral, and softly irregular.
Mounted on a wooden panel, the piece echoes the tactile depth of early frescoes and aged wall finishes, where time, oxidation, and handwork are part of the composition. The result is not decorative, but elemental—an image that feels uncovered rather than painted.
