Description
In the 1980s, Sicart developed a series of sculptural vases playing on geometry and the purity of volumes. This pair, composed of a black model and a white model, perfectly illustrates this formal exploration where the utilitarian object becomes a graphic element.
Both vases share the same circular shape with a central hole, crafted from dense, brilliantly glazed ceramic. The black vase measures 23 cm high, 26 cm long, and 5.5 cm wide. The white vase, more compact, is 17.5 cm high, 20.5 cm long, and 4.5 cm deep.
The overall condition is very good. The surfaces are even, without chips or structural defects, which confirms a careful production typical of Sicart in the 80s.
Presented together, they form a harmonious duo playing on the black/white contrast. They can be placed on a console, shelf or coffee table, as decorative pieces or vases for minimalist compositions.
