A pair of monumental floor candleholders in cast iron by Böhlmarks, the prominent Swedish lighting manufacturer founded in 1872. Documented in the company’s original 1936 catalogue, these pieces bring neoclassical formality to functional design. The tall stems feature rhythmic turned detailing and rest on circular bases with decorative feet.
Weighing 12 kg each (26.5 lbs) and standing 105 cm (41.3″) tall, these commanding pieces make a dramatic statement in any interior. Designed to accommodate large altar candles with center holes. Pictured with 60 cm (23.6″) tall candles for reference.
Böhlmarks was one of Sweden’s most respected lighting manufacturers, particularly celebrated for their Art Deco and modernist designs from the 1920s through 1940s.
