Description
A rare pair of two-arm pewter candelabras by sculptor and silversmith Just Andersen, Denmark, crafted in the 1930s-40s. The design features gracefully curved arms rising from a central sphere, embodying Andersen’s refined sense of balance and form. Sized for standard candles, the pewter has developed a rich patina over decades of age. Properly marked on the base with maker’s mark and model number.
Just Andersen (1884–1943) was one of Denmark’s most innovative metalsmiths, renowned for his sculptural approach to functional objects. His work bridged fine art and craft, combining modernist simplicity with organic, hand-worked forms.
