Description
This pair of « SZ02 » lounge chairs, designed by Martin Visser for Spectrum in the 1980s, is a continuation of Dutch modernism, with a rigorous approach to line and function. The design remains faithful to the original spirit of the model, while benefiting from later production with refined finishes.
Each chair rests on a tubular metal frame, simple and precise, which provides stability and visual lightness. The black leather seat and backrest, stretched and held by a system of apparent straps and fixings, demonstrate a mastered technical craftsmanship. The contrast between the rigor of the base and the flexibility of the leather creates a perfect balance.
The set is in very good condition. The leather shows a beautiful patina of use, with slight superficial marks consistent with age, without altering the overall appearance of the piece.
Dimensions: height 70 cm, width 61 cm, depth 64 cm.
A structured pair, suitable for both a contemporary interior and a collector’s set.
