Description
In the 1970s, the Italian manufacturer Sicart developed a series of geometric ceramics with bold reliefs, designed to complement the new domestic aesthetic of the decade. This rectangular box is a representative example, blending functionality with a play on textures.
Made of white glazed ceramic, it features a lid with a rhythmic pattern of raised lines, a frequent signature of Sicart’s productions. The volumes are clean and controlled, with attention paid to the regularity of the motif and the quality of the glaze.
The condition is excellent. The enamel retains its brilliance, without any chips or cracks, highlighting the piece’s excellent state of preservation. Its proportions—20.5 cm long, 10 cm wide, and 6 cm high—make it a practical and easy-to-place size.
Ideal for an office, bedroom or living room, it works equally well as a storage box or as a simple decorative accent, bringing a touch of understated 70s Italian design.
