Description
In the 1980s, Flavio Poli continued his research into sommerso glass for Seguso, exploring more refined and geometric compositions. This rectangular ashtray is a beautiful illustration of this, with its deep blue core seemingly suspended in a mass of translucent glass with slightly amber reflections, revealed by precise cutting work.
Made in Murano, it showcases the dialogue between traditional blowing techniques and cold finishes, which enhance the purity of the lines and the depth of the colors. The overall effect is a minimalist, almost architectural presence, typical of Poli’s later works. The condition is very good, with slight traces of use consistent with its age.
