Rivet Typecase is a compartmentalized aluminum shelf with discrete sections meant for storing and displaying your most cherished objects. Based on a riveting technique suitable for making perpendicular joints between separate, laser-cut raw aluminum sheets, the item is put together by hand using a hammer in a cold-forming assembly process developed by designer Jonas Trampedach in 2011.

Mounting the Rivet Typecase is a breeze, thanks to the separate backplate. Each piece is truly one-of-a-kind, meticulously hammered by hand. It’s important to note that since the shelf is made from unfinished and raw aluminum, some imperfections like scratches and natural irregularities may be present on the surface. Over time, the material will patinate, resulting in a unique blend of marks and tinted materiality.
