Description
Gestural Earth Vessel – No. 129 captures the sensation of circular, celestial motion—echoing the long-exposure star trails that sweep across the night sky. Handbuilt from stoneware, the piece transitions from a deep, dark base into a lighter, textured expanse, where swirling gestures suggest rotation, orbit, and quiet cosmic drift.
The surface holds movement suspended in time. Each mark reveals the Morrison’s intuitive process, where layered clay bodies and gestural strokes create an atmospheric, almost cosmic depth. The vessel feels both earthy and ethereal—its form grounded, its surface expansive, rhythmic, and ancient in character.
As an object for interiors, No. 129 introduces a contemplative presence: a sculptural anchor that carries the feeling of timeless motion and quiet celestial harmony.
