Description
Designed in the 1960s by Martin Visser for the Dutch manufacturer Spectrum, the “SE06” chairs exemplify the functional minimalism of post-war modernist design. Visser combined geometric clarity with understated comfort and lasting utility.
The chairs feature a chromed steel frame that highlights precise proportions and clean lines. The seat and backrest are crafted from stretched leather, providing a firm yet flexible surface, characteristic of Spectrum’s craftsmanship at the time.
Every detail — from the leather tension to the tube connections — reflects a careful balance of technique and simplicity. The set is in very good condition, showing a light leather patina consistent with gentle use. The metal retains its original shine with no notable damage.
