Description
In Denmark, the 1960s marked a period of experimentation with brass, used to create objects with clean, elegant lines. This set of four candlesticks perfectly illustrates this approach, with cylindrical silhouettes topped by a sloping cup, a common detail in Scandinavian design of the decade.
Made of turned brass, they demonstrate meticulous craftsmanship, blending visual balance and functionality. No designer is identified, as is often the case with these pieces produced in small series by specialized workshops.
The condition is very good, with a light patina on the surfaces, consistent with the age of the material. The dimensions are as follows:
– Large model: 30 cm high, 10.5 cm wide.
– Intermediate model: 23.5 cm high, 10.5 cm wide.
– Small model: 17.5 cm high, 10.5 cm wide.
Presented together, they form a rhythmic and elegant composition. Ideal on a console table, coffee table or mantelpiece, they bring a refined touch of 1960s Danish design.
