Description
This very large « Free Form » Murano glass valet tray, created by Flavio Poli for Seguso in the 1960s, represents one of the most accomplished expressions of his work with organic volumes and layered colors. The piece is distinguished by its deep red, enlivened by internal nuances that react beautifully to the light. Hand-blown and shaped using traditional Murano techniques, this piece perfectly illustrates Poli’s mastery of the sommerso technique: a play of transparent and colored layers that creates a unique visual depth. The trinket tray features free, asymmetrical lines, typical of his most sculptural experiments. The piece is in perfect condition, without chips or scratches, and comes from a private collection in Milan.
